Facebook engineers attempted the first flight after the two years, spending on it. Facebook wanted to digitally connect every person on the planet. The plane was designed to stay aloft for months, which no other plane can do that. Their fleet will been internet to places that have never been connected. It is the one more step Facebook has taken to connect the world.
The Aquila will have a signal that can be connected to the antennas of small towers and dishes on the ground. The antennas can further convert that signal into 4G Networks or Wifi.
