Home remedies for constipation

It is no laughing matter in fact and something to be embarrassed about. One who has constipation problem can understand very well. It affects people of all ages. Symptoms of constipation include bad breath, acidity, depression,  loss of appetite, headache, and mouth ulcer. This problem can be very frustrating and makes someone very discomfort. There are many home remedies to treat with constipation.

1. Lemon One of the most common and effective treatment that one can try at home. Lemon  stimulates the digestive system and gets things moving. Extract the juice of half a lemon and mix it with warm water. You can also add a little quantity of salt and honey into it. Drink the lemon juice daily  early in the morning on an empty stomach. One can see good result of this remedy.

2. Mint or ginger tea Mint and ginger tea both are proven home remedies to fight against digestive problems. Ginger is warming herb that helps to generate more heats in the body. In tea, hot water also help to stimulate digestion and give relief from constipation.

3. Fiber Fiber act like pipe cleaner and helps someone to fight against constipation. Food that is high in fiber include beans, lentils, oatmeal, almonds, barley, many vegetables, and fresh and dried fruits. Aim to eat 20 to 35 grams of fiber a day to stay regular.

4. Castor oil It is another one home remedy to reduce the problem of constipation. One of the use of castor oil is as a laxative. Take 1-2 tablespoon of castor oil in empty stomach early in the morning. You should see results in the next few hours and speed up your trip to the bathroom.

5. Exercise Exercise is a digestive process, even a daily 15 minutes walk helps you to digest your food more quickly. If you take heavy meal and feel sleepy, try to move around instead of lying down. Exercise boosts your energy and improves someone’s mood.

6. Raisins (kishmish) Raisins act as great natural laxatives. Raisins are high in fiber that can help someone to kick constipation. The best way to eat them early in the morning in empty stomach.

7. Oranges Oranges are not only a great source of vitamin C but also have a large amount of fiber content. Eat two oranges everyday one early in the morning and another one in the evening. This can provide a great relief from constipation.
